Independence NHP - President-Elect Obama and Vice-President Elect Biden joined the country's governors at a National Governor's Association meeting in Congress Hall in the park yesterday.


Social Science Program - A report entitled National Park Spending and Payroll Impacts 2007 is now available for download on the NPS Social Science Program web site.


Fire and Aviation Management - A retirement “roast and toast” will be held in early January for Paul Broyles, the Service's program lead for operations at the Fire Management Program Center, and Al King, the Service's program lead for safety at the center.
