Civil War Sites - The Civil War Preservation Trust (CWPT) has issued its annual list of the nation's ten most endangered Civil War battlefields as part of its “History Under Siege” project. Four are National Park Service sites.

Great Sand Dunes NP - Undergraduate and graduate students from eight U.S. universities gathered at the park earlier this month for an alternative to the typical college spring break.

Fire and Aviation Management - A dozen new stories were submitted to the Department of the Interior's Office of Wildland Fire Coordination this week, highlighting successes in NPS fire management.

Midwest Region - Timothy S. Good, currently a management assistant in the Midwest Regional Office in Omaha, has been selected as the superintendent for Ulysses S. Grant National Historic Site in St. Louis.
