The following stories are among those in today's edition of InsideNPS:


Cape Hatteras NS - The park has adopted two Shackleford Banks ponies from Cape Lookout NS via the Foundation for Shackelford Horses. They will help park managers in meeting one of the seashore's primary pony management objectives - reintroducing the genetic strain common to Outer Banks horses.


Wilderness Stewardship - Nominations are now being accepted for the 2009 Director's Wes Henry National Wilderness Stewardship Award.


Glen Canyon NRA - Dan Biship, Glen Canyon NRA's chief of facilities, is retiring on January 1st after over 36 years of dedicated service with the National Park Service. Photo.


Natchez Trace Parkway - Alfred Smith and Henderson Mallory from the park's maintenance division will both retire on Thursday.
