Office of the Chief Information Officer - The Office of the Chief Information Officer is developing two new Civil War websites - one called “Civil War to Civil Rights” and the other a redesign of the existing Civil War Soldiers and Sailors System - and is seeking your comments.


National Capital Region/Northeast Region - Nearly 200 Northeast and National Capital Region employees - mainly superintendents and regional office employees - gathered in Virginia last week to gain further insight into Director Jon Jarvis' "four pillars" and hear from other speakers. Photo.


Cultural Resources - The National Park Service's cultural resources staff played a major role in the National Preservation Conference, which was held in Austin, Texas, on the week of October 25th. Photo.


Golden Gate NRA - NPS archeologists have been uncovering a piece of history in the Fort Mason area over the past several days - human remains, probably dating from the middle of the 19th century. Photo.


Fort Pulaski NM - Mike Hosti, the park's chief of maintenance, is retiring after 37 years of service. A retirement party will be held this coming Saturday.
