Gullah Geechee CHC - Gullah Geechee Cultural Heritage Corridor has been selected to participate in the Presidential inaugural parade to be held in Washington on January 21st.


Information Resources - The Office of the Associate Director, Information Resources, has announced the availability of a new system for sending and receiving large or confidential files between NPS and external partners in a secure and managed environment. 


Legislative and Congressional Affairs - This week's update on past and upcoming hearings, newly introduced bills, and the status of legislation of interest to the National Park Service. This report covers the week ending on Friday, January 4th.


Midwest Archeological Center - Dr. Mark Lynott has retired after 34 years as supervisory archeologist at the Midwest Archeological Center, including 17 years as center manager.


Geologic Resources Division - Lisa Norby, chief of the Geologic Resource Division's Energy and Minerals Branch Chief, received the Geological Society of America's 2012 distinguished service award at their November annual meeting in recognition of her exceptional service to the society.
