Martin Luther King, Jr. NHS - On January 21st, the park commemorated the 27th observance of the federal holiday that honors the birthday of Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. On that same day, President Obama took his oath of office using Dr. King's Bible, loaned by the park for the occasion.


Grand Teton NP - Teton Interagency Dispatch Center dispatchers cut a ribbon on March 8th to celebrate their move into a long-awaited new home. The new facility is located at Moose in Grand Teton National Park's rehabilitated HQ building.


Big Cypress NP - Big Cypress National Preserve's backcountry volunteer program hosted its first “Friends and Family Day” on Sunday, March 3rd.


State and Local Assistance Programs - The National Park Service has released the 2012 annual report for the Land and Water Conservation Fund State and Local Assistance Program. 


Submerged Resources Center - The NPS Submerged Resources Center, the NPS National Dive Program, and the Our World Underwater Scholarship Society have announced that Julia Mason of Alamo, California, will be the 2013 NPS diving intern.
