Olympic NP - A 185-ton dock that washed out to sea during the March 2011 tsunami in Japan has been removed from a wilderness beach within the boundaries of Olympic National Park and the Olympic Coast National Marine Sanctuary.


George Wright Society - Former Deputy Director Denis P. Galvin received the highest honor of the George Wright Society at a March 14th awards ceremony capping the society's biennial Conference on Parks, Protected Areas, and Cultural Sites.
