Biscayne NP

Park Closed And Evacuated Due To Nearby Fire

Land access to Biscayne National Park was closed yesterday because of a wildfire burning just outside park boundaries along the park's access road, Canal Drive. Rangers also closed the Dante Fascell Visitor Center and escorted visitors out of the park. Although the extent of the fire was not known, these precautionary actions were taken to ensure visitors' safety. It's not yet known when the park will reopen.
