Grand Canyon NP

Park Resident Arrested On Felony Sex With Minor Charges


On July 30th, park resident E.J. was arrested in by Investigative Services Branch agents pursuant to an arrest warrant issued by the Superior Court of Arizona.


Following an on-going investigation by ISB, E.J. was indicted on felony charges of two counts of sexual conduct with a minor. E.J. and the minor victim were both residents in the park when the sexual conduct occurred.

Gettysburg NMP - On the weekend of September 20th, the Gettysburg community hosted the annual convention of the Congressional Medal of Honor Society, this year attended by 45 of the 79 living recipients of the nation's highest honor for military valor.


Geologic Resources Division - The Geologic Resources Division has issued a call for proposals from parks for spring/summer 2014 Mosaics in Science internships. They are due by November 15th.


Office of Legislative and Congressional Affairs - This week's update on past and upcoming hearings, newly introduced bills, and the status of legislation of interest to the National Park Service. This report covers the week ending Friday, September 27th.


Sleeping Bear Dunes NL - Chris Johnson, district ranger for the park's Leelanau District, is retiring today after 31 years with the National Park Service.
