Yellowstone NP - Yellowstone National Park's 2013 Natural and Cultural Resources Vital Signs report and annual wolf and bird project reports are now out.


Klondike Goldrush NHP - Seattle Unit - Ruth Kerr, an interpretive ranger at Klondike Gold Rush National Historical Park's Seattle Unit, passed away on November 26th. A memorial service will be held in the park on December 28th.


Heritage Preservation Assistance Programs - A new evaluation of Augusta Canal NHA assesses the impacts, outcomes, and organizational sustainability of the Augusta Canal Authority, which coordinates management of the heritage area designated in 1996.


Jean Lafitte NHP&P - Interior Secretary Sally Jewell visited Jean Lafitte's Barataria Preserve on December 6th to announce wetlands restoration plans and visit with staff.


Pacific West Region - Chris Kanda, housing program manager for Pacific West Regional Office, is retiring on January 3rd after 32 years of federal service.


Midwest Region - Associate Regional Director for Administration and Information Technology Chris Bernthal is retiring on January 3rd after 39 years and 11 months with the National Park Service.
