Office of Communications - Entrance fees to national parks will be waived on nine days during the coming year, including several holidays. A listing is provided along with links for further information.


Intermountain Region - An MOU was signed last week by representatives from federal agencies, the State of Colorado and two Colorado tribes to seek locations for reburial of Native American remains which have no home following repatriation under NAGPRA.


Intermountain Region - Dr. Joseph P. Sánchez, superintendent of the Latino History Research and Training Center and Petroglyph National Monument, will retire on January 1st.


Conservation and Outdoor Recreation Division - Bryan Bowden is retiring after 35 years of service with the NPS, effective December 28th. Bryan has worked the past 13 years at Mount Rainier in a split position as the park community planner and as a staffer for the Seattle-based RTCA program.


Servicewide Training Calendar - A compilation of upcoming training courses, webinars and online training offered by the National Park Service and related agencies. Added today are the following - three new FLETC offerings and a webinar in February on making the transition from coworker to supervisor.
