African Burial Ground NM - African Burial Ground held a Kwanzaa celebration from this past Thursday through Saturday as part of the week-long African American holiday, which is observed from December 26th until January 1st.


Guadalupe Mountains NP - Guadalupe Mountains National Park has been recognized by the International Union of Geological Sciences with the placement of plaques marking the park's three global stratotype sections and points.


Great Smoky Mountains NP - Ranger Bob Wightman is hanging up his grey and green attire on January 3rd after nearly 45 years of government service with the National Park Service.
