Office of Communications - The National Park Service's abandoned mineral lands program has finalized a report summarizing a comprehensive inventory and assessment of health and safety issues related to past mineral extraction activities on national park lands.


Historical Documentation Programs - Heritage Documentation Programs has launched its first "virtual tour" -- a a series of interactive 360 degree panoramas and other photos taken along Totem Trail in Sitka NHP.


Midwest Region - Kevin Eads, a 24-year veteran of the National Park Service, has been selected as the new superintendent of Pea Ridge National Military Park.


Pinnacles NP - Charles Walter “Chuck” Dorn, Sr., retired law enforcement ranger, passed away Friday, February 6th, in Monterey, California, due to complications resulting from pancreatic cancer.


Cuyahoga Valley NP - Cindy Swaggard, law enforcement ranger at Cuyahoga Valley National Park, retired on December 31st with 25 years of service to the National Park Service.
