Oh it's many a wonderful mile you'll go
If you follow the Wonderland Trail;
And it's many an exquisite thrill you'll know
Over mountainous hill and dale.
You may visit a country of strange delight
And never once see a commonplace sight
On each glorious day and each glamorous night
That you'll spend on the Wonderland Trail.
Oh you'll be in a natural fairyland,
If you'll venture to follow this trail;
And you'll find each new vista is wonderous grand
Whether forest, or river, or dale.
If it means to you what it means to me,
You will dwell in a realm of ecstasy
As long as before your eyes there'll be
That picturesque Wonderland Trail!
Irene Langholm, Gig Harbor, Washington.
How YOU Can Help The
Naturalist Work in Mt. Rainier National Park.
Dedicated to public service and the development of a greater
appreciation of the National Parks by the people of the nation, the
naturalist department has been materially aided by thoughtful donations
from those whom it has served in the past. Books on natural history, on
human history of the Pacific Northwest, on Indian lore, interesting
historical photographs or news clippings relative to the park, and
magazines (such as) NATURE, NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC, AMERICAN FORESTS,
NATURAL HISTORY, BIRD LORE, and the like have swelled our library and
have facilitated a better presentation of the interesting features of
this park to our visiting public through the various mediums at our
command.
