INTRODUCTION
Bibliographies are, in themselves, of little interest. Yet such
apparantly sterile lists of literature are often an "open sesame" to
the latent possibilities embodied in a given subject. This bibliography
is offered with that in mind. Mt. Rainier National Park, the fifth of
our present series of twenty-six areas of that caliber to be
established, is rich in varied interests that have a wide scientific and
popular appeal. It is hoped that this issue of "Nature Notes", then,
will serve a useful purpose as a guide to the literature which applies
to this region. (C. F. B.)
