The survey group inspected and reported upon 126
undeveloped areas in the 18 States along the Atlantic and Gulf coasts. A
brief description and evaluation of each is contained in the following
pages. The 54 most outstanding areas are grouped below and listed from
north to south, and the 16 areas judged to be of highest priority for
acquisition and conservation by a public agency are underscored.
