NATIONAL PARK SERVICE Pacific Coast Recreation Area Survey

The National Park Service gratefully acknowledges the generosity of the donors, whose timely financial support made possible this recreation survey of the Pacific Coast.

The Survey could not have been carried through to successful completion without the outstanding cooperation of the United States Coast Guard, which provided air transportation over the entire Pacific Coast and the off-shore islands. The schedule and requirements of the survey team often entailed considerable inconvenience for the genial and highly efficient Coast Guard personnel.

The Service is also indebted to many Federal, State and county agencies, as well as to universities, colleges and public spirited individuals. Although they are too numerous to name individually here, each contributed much time, valuable Information and helpful suggestions to the Survey.
