The Water Supply of El Morro National Monument

ACKNOWLEDGMENTS

This report was prepared in response to a request from the National Park Service for assistance from the U.S. Geological Survey in appraising possible sources of water supply for El Morro National Monument. The fieldwork was done intermittently from July 1959 to April 1, 1961. Mr. John Kell, Regional Chief of Lands, or Mr. Bill Fields, engineer, National Park Service, accompanied the senior author during the well tests. Mr. Irving Mc Neil, Jr., superintendent, El Morro National Monument, other members of his staff, and land owners in the area provided valuable information on wells in the vicinity of the monument.
