Bert H. Barnett has been a park ranger/historian at Gettysburg National Military Park (NMP) since 1992. He has also worked at Stones River, Manassas and Shiloh in his National Park Service career. His essays in appeared in the last three GNMP seminar proceedings.

Troy D. Harman has been with the National Park Service since 1984 in historical interpretation. He currently works at Gettysburg NMP. Previous to working here he worked at Appomattox Court House NHS, Fredericksburg & Spotsylvania NMP, and Independence NHP. He has a M.A. in history from Shippensburg University, and is the author of the book Cemetery Hill: The General Plan Was Unchanged.

D. Scott Hartwig is a supervisory historian at Gettysburg NMP. He is the author of numerous essays and articles, as well as two books.

Glenn LaFantasie is the director of Aldie Mill, a nineteenth-century gristmill in Aldie, Virginia. He formerly served as Deputy Historian and General Editor of the Foreign Relations of the United States, at the U. S. Department of State in Washington, D.C. Mr. LaFantasie has authored numerous articles and essays and is the author of a forthcoming biography of William C. Oates, titled The Flush Times of William C. Oates.

Terry Latschar has been a park ranger in historical interpretation at Gettysburg NMP since 1998. A former licensed battlefield guide, she has written several articles for the Association of Licensed Battlefield Guides publications and is still regularly requested to conduct military staff rides.

Michael Phipps is a graduate of the Gilmore School and Johns Hopkins University. He served as a light infantry officer with the U.S. Army and Maryland National Guard, and also as a police officer in Baltimore County, Maryland. He has been a licensed battlefield guide for 13 years and is the author of "The Devil's to Pay:" General John Buford, and "Come on, You Wolverines:" Custer at Gettysburg.

Mark Snell is the director of the George Tyler Moore Center for the Study of the Civil War at Shepherd College. He served with the U.S. Army from 1977 to 1990, and was an Assistant Professor in the Department of History at the U.S. Military Academy. He is the author of From First to Last: The Life of William B. Franklin, and edited the Andersonville memoir, Dancing Along the Deadline.

Karlton D. Smith is a 12-year veteran interpreter/historian at Gettysburg NMP. Previous to working at Gettysburg he worked at Independence NHP. He has authored essays in all of the Gettysburg NMP seminars.

Tom Vossler is a 36-year veteran of the U.S. Army. He retired as a colonel. During his career he served in many command and staff positions in the U.S., Europe and in Vietnam. His last assignment was as director of the U.S. Army Military History Institute at Carlisle Barracks, Pennsylvania. He is currently chairman of the board for the Friends of the National Parks at Gettysburg, and is a licensed battlefield guide.
