Fall Creek Falls Recreational Demonstration Area,
near Pikeville, Tennessee, derives its name from the spectacular plunge
made by Fall Creek to the floor of a canyon having sheer rock walls
which rise 300 feet. The vertical fall is 256 feet, 89 feet higher than
Niagara. Rockhouse and Caney Creek Falls are other interesting features
of the 16,000-acre area. The drawing is by Ira B. Lykes.
