Staff and visitor facilities such as guide huts, ranger stations, and comfort stations like those depicted here in the Paradise Development Area, are examples of the behind-the-scenes operations, which take place throughout the national parks. The Paradise Guide House was built by the Rainier National Park Company, and is the park's only building with a gambrel roof.³¹
